The Story Behind Kiki of DC Styles

I'm Kia — Kiki to my friends — and this store is a full-circle moment.

I grew up in DC, then spent 16 years in Los Angeles immersed in style from every angle: modeling, background acting, violin and vocals on stage, and doing makeup in nearly every mall and store in the city. If it had to do with helping someone look and feel their best, I've probably done it.

Then life took a turn — I built a career in federal government, top secret clearance and all. But the creative pull never really left. In 2025, I made the leap: stepping away from that security to build something fully mine.

Kiki of DC Styles is the result — a curated collection of my actual favorites. Every piece here passes one test: would I wear it, recommend it, or put it on someone I did makeup for backstage? Some are exclusive finds I source myself; others are favorites I love enough to recommend as an affiliate.
